Dancer Development
The Radio City Rockettes are committed to ensuring that the line showcases greater diversity and that dancers from all backgrounds see themselves represented. To this end, the dance company is focused on creating opportunities for dancers by developing a robust dancer development program and establishing strong partnerships with diverse dance organizations. As leaders in the commercial dance industry, the Rockettes organization is committed to eliminating barriers to entry and providing quality dance education to aspiring dancers.
In order to be eligible for the Rockettes dancer development programs, dancers must attend open call auditions for the Christmas Spectacular in the spring or be scouted by the Rockettes creative team. Talent scouting occurs at select colleges, universities, leading dance institutions, and partner organizations including the International Association of Blacks in Dance Harlem School of the Arts, Dancewave, and the Ailey School.
