Watch 7-Year-Old Audrey Dance With Us on the Rachael Ray Show
Still dancing her way into our hearts, 7-year-old Audrey Nethery now has a new highlight to add to her dance resumé: performing with the Rockettes!
Audrey, who suffers from Diamond Blackfan Anemia (DBA), a rare disorder that stops her bone marrow from producing red blood cells, got another chance to shine and inspire those around her when the Rachael Ray Show treated her to the surprise of a lifetime!
Coming back to New York City for a second time (Rachael invited her on the show in October to show off her fierce Zumba dance moves!), Audrey got to go on a festive tour of the city and stopped by Radio City Music Hall … and you can’t visit the Great Stage without dancing with us!
When Audrey came to meet us at the Hall, we had a few surprises up our sleeves, including gifting her with her very own, one-of-a-kind official Rockettes rehearsal gear and costume to match us. Eager to get started, Audrey stepped, pointed, hip-popped and beveled, learned about our iconic kick line and thought “dancing with the Rockettes was so cool!”
Rockette Lindsay H. couldn’t agree more: “Audrey was amazing. Her energy burst through the door, and she took direction so well.”
After rehearsal, she took the stage and performed alongside us in front of a live audience on the Rachael Ray Show—and of course, received a well-deserved standing ovation that she’ll remember forever.
Keep on dancing, Audrey—we can’t wait to see what else the dance world has in store for you!
