Rockettes’ Pick for Dancer of the Week: Parris Goebel

Who: Choreographer Parris Goebel

Her dance:

Why we chose her: Ladies and gentleman, meet Parris Goebel—the 23-year-old mastermind behind Justin Bieber’s latest dance music video “Sorry.” The New Zealand native, who choreographed, produced and directed mesmerizing, jaw-dropping moves for the video, enlisted gals from world hip-hop dance champions ReQuest and The Royal Family.

“We shot and choreographed the whole thing in two days. I just thought it was a really cool opportunity and went for it. I love to have fun during projects that are given to me, so we had a lot of fun creating it,” Parris said in an interview with ELLE Magazine. “We dance with each other all the time. So, this way it didn’t take much effort to have fun because we’re genuinely having fun with each other.”

Fun fact: Parris choreographed routines for Nicki Minaj’s Pinkprint tour and Janet Jackson’s Unbreakable World Tour.
