Rockettes’ Pick for Dancer of the Week: Mr. Met

Who: Mr. Met

His dance:

Why we chose him: The official mascot of Major League Baseball’s New York Mets (and a fan favorite!), Mr. Met can’t help but show off his excitement and dance moves for the World Series—after all, it’s been 15 years since the Mets were in the running for the World Series title.

Mr. Met is pumped and ready to support the team—from showing off his moves with ABC’s Circle 7 and making an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live to conducting the Metropolitan Opera in one of the best renditions of “Meet the Mets.”

The first World Series game in Citi Field history is tonight, Friday, Oct. 30 at 8 p.m. EST. Let’s go Mets! #Believe

Fun fact: Mr. Met, who was elected into the Mascot Hall of Fame, was first introduced on the cover of game programs in 1963, when the Mets were still playing at the Polo Grounds in Manhattan.
