Dancer of the Week: Rapper Diddy Joins In On Twin Daughters’ ‘Dreamgirls’ Rehearsals
Who: Diddy, Jessie and D’Lila Combs
Why we picked them: Diddy is a man of many titles: rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, producer and entrepreneur—and after watching the video above, we think he can add “dance coach” too!
The rap artist, whose given name is Sean Combs, helped his 12-year-old twin daughters, Jessie and D’Lila Combs, practice for their school’s rendition of Dreamgirls. Lucky for us, he captured their progress in a series of clips on Instagram—showcasing everything from their adorable dance rehearsals together to the girls’ final performance at school.
Last November, Jessie and D’Lila’s mother, Kim Porter, unexpectedly passed away. So he captioned this post with the hashtag #MOMMYDAD to show that he is taking on his mommy-daddy duties with pride and excitement.
“You understand how good that is from yesterday?” Diddy encourages the girls in the video before it cuts to the next day when they are onstage for their final performance.
At the end of the show, Diddy can be seen in the middle of the crowd giving his girls a standing ovation with flowers in tow to congratulate them on a job well done… cue the feels!
We know Diddy has many different nicknames already, but we’re thinking “Proud Papa Diddy” should be added to the list now!
Fun fact: The twins aren’t Diddy’s only kids—he is the proud father of six children total.
